Proliant 6500 server slert after failure
Hi
Can someone tell me how to stop audible alert. I replaced bad power supply, hot swap, and 1 of 6 drives. all green lights, but whistle contiues.

Hi Mal,
Are you sure the noise is coming from the server and not a UPS for example?
If its coming from the server might it be a noisy DLT drive or fan?
Have a look at the front panel LCD display and scroll down to see the error history. There might be a clue there.
Just a thought.

The noise stopped after repalced drive was rebuilt.
Guess thats the way it works.
