proliant 6500R and Intel SRCS14L
Any forseeable problems? The purchase of the retired 6500 is dependant on running a small (1tb) SATA raid 5 array. I have no experience with the proliant 6500, is there a better solution for a cheap storage array?
Thanks for any help.

Re: proliant 6500R and Intel SRCS14L
You should know the 6500R is a Ultra2 SCSI based server, not SATA. The SATA raid card you have selected has 4 "Internal" serial ports.
Have you looked at a NAS 1200 or 1500 series system?
