Proliant 800 server
Hello .
I was given this unit by friend .
I stll can't get a controller card driver to work with this unit. Smart array card 221 .
I also can't get tothe CMOS as well .
Nor can I find a mother board manaul to check the DIP switches on the board.
So far brand name computer experience is fun . To much buggering around and not getting any results .
James

Re: Proliant 800 server
James,
The DIP switch information may be found in the following PDF document:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_186861-001_ch4/TPM_186861-001_ch4.pdf
I've only used the Smart-2SL Array Controller in the ProLiant 800, so I'm not sure the 221 is compatible. Maybe once you get the motherboard squared away, you can get it working. If you need additional information on the 800, you can bring up support information by selecting the "See support and troubleshooting information" from HP's support page for the U.K. using the link below (I'm assuming U.K. because of the "buggering around" comment).
