ProLiant DL320 G5 USB BOOT Problem
I have a ProLiant DL320 G5 and i want to run a SLES11 OS from an USB-Stick on it.
I've made a 1:1 copy from the OS on a hard disk to the USB-Stick. I've testet it on a Acer Extensa 5220 and a HP Compaq Workstation and everything is running fine. On both systems it shows me the grub bootloader and load the system without any problems.
Now when i will boot the USB-Stick on the DL320 G5, the System seems to freeze before it really boot the USB-Stick. Only ctrl-alt-del works for restart. In setup the USB device is set as first boot device.
I had also copied a SuseLinux Live CD on the Stick and then the Systems boots correctly and load the OS without any errors.
Is there a problem with booting from external devices (HD or USB-Stick) with an OS-filesystem-stucture on a ProLiant DL320 G5?
Hope anyone can help me to fix the problem...:smileyhappy:
