proliant dl320e gen8 v2 esxi 5.5 raid

Hi there,

I just bought a Hp proliant dl320e gen8 v2 with Xeon processor. I set RAID 1 but when i try to install VMware ESXi 5.5 i see 2 HDD instead 1.

Im using the HP  ESXi 5.5 ISO and i'm installing from usb as that the server came without cd drive.

Any idea?

If your using the embedded "B" series dynamic smart array controller, you need the hpvsa driver which is not included in ESXi. You can download one of the supported HP versions of ESXi that has the driver.
