Proliant DL360 G3

I receive this message :
"Corrected Memory Error threshold exceeded (systeme memory, memory module 3)" on survey utility from my server.

I'd patched my server with Bios DL360G3 and installed the Support Pack 6.40.
The symptom already exists.

Thanks for any answer.

Re: Proliant DL360 G3

Do you see the error in the insight management logviewer?
If so, let HP replace the dimm

Re: Proliant DL360 G3

Go to Start-programs-Compaq system tools-Insight management logviewer and check if the error also occurs there.

Re: Proliant DL360 G3

Serre - This is an indication that your system is incurring too many single bit correctable errors (SBCE) in one or more memory DIMMs.

What happens is something like this: the SBCE occurs which triggers the BIOS to issue an SMI that tells the health driver to tell the OS to tell you that you are exceding the threshold - there is a max threshold that the BIOS can manage.

If the error does not specifically tell you which DIMM socket you are exceding SBCE thresholds on you can pop the lid on the system and see which health led is lit beside which DIMM socket. You will then need to replace that memory DIMM.

Good luck

Re: Proliant DL360 G3

Tanks a lot for request.
My HP Support send me a new dimm to replace them.
