ProLiant DL360p for a windows storage spaces direct cluster

hi,

i got two HP Proliant 360p Gen8 server with P420i RAID controller.

i would like to install Windows server 2016 on the servers and use them to create a Storage Spaces direct cluster.

in oeder to do so i need to the change the RAID controller mode to HBA (or Passthough)  mode. this will make is possible for windows to have a direct access to the disks.

i was not able to find a way to switch to HBA mode . is that possbie? if yes - how can i do it? and did anyone ever tried to use storage spaces with this hardware?

Hi there. I was wondering if you have found a soltuion? I am in a similar boat and would like to know the answer as well. I have 2 DL380 GEN 8s with the same HP Smart Array P420i.
