ProLiant DL380 G7 - expand RAID5 by adding new disk
Hi to all!
server ProLiant DL380 G7
RAID5
Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot
1 Logical Drive 700 GB
6x146 GB SAS disks
I want to add two more 146Gb disks.
Can I expand RAID5 logical drive using HP Array Configuration Utility (64-bit) online without turning off the server?
On this logical drive I have:
C:\hyper-v server 100GB
D:\hyper-v machine01 500GB
E:\hyper-v machine02 100GB
Can I extend then my E:\ drive to new addidtional space from 100GB to 200GB?
Can I extend then hyper-v machine02 ?
Regards
GN

I have added two physical drives.

Hello,
please check if you have a cache modul installed and a battery for this modul. Without write cache enabled no expansion is available.

Dear TarunJain
I have already expanded the logical drive using HP Intelligent provisioning. but still can't find the expanded space (an unlocated space) in the hypervisor (MS Hyper-V) disk management. how could i extend the "D" Partition
