ProLiant DL380 Gen10 - RAM Configuration
We have a ProLiant DL380 Gen10 with 2 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5217 CPU @ 3.00GHz.
We bought 8 sticks of "HPE SmartMemory - DDR4 - module -
32GB - DIMM 288-pin-2933 MHz/PC4-23400 - Dual rank registered CL21 (21-21-21)-1.2 V-ECC".
Please kindly help us with which DIMM slots we need to use to maximize the 8 x 32GB RAM.

Re: ProLiant DL380 Gen10 - RAM Configuration
Please tell me if my interpretation of page 78 is correct in sticking 4 pieces of RAM on each side of the CPUs:
4 DIMM s---------------3
6 DIMM s-----1
8 DIMM s--------------------4
12 DIMM s----------2
(1) I started at 2 in 12 DIMM because it was the only slot available., (2) then 4 in 8 DIMM as the only slot left available, (3) 1 in 6 DIMM, and (4) 3 in 4 DIMM on the same reasonings.
So I will need to stick the RAMs at DIMMs 4, 6, 8, and 12.

Re: ProLiant DL380 Gen10 - RAM Configuration
Or the correct interpretation is:
4 DIMM s (as in 4 sticks of RAMs) so it goes to slots:
4 DIMM s-----x-----x-----3-----x-----5-----x-----x-----8-----x-----10-----x-----x
So I will stick the RAMs into slots 3, 5, 8, and 10.
