ProLiant DL380 Gen8 12G controller

Good day all, 

Do you know if a DL380 and DL360 GEN8 server can run 12G drives (12G speed as well) 
I am aware of the need of a 12G PCI controller. (698529-B21)

This is from HPE product Bulletin; NOTE: All 12G SAS Hard drives only operate at 6G speeds in the DL380pGen8.

This is to inform you that DL380p Gen8 can be configured with 12G drives.
Please check the server quickspecs:

Page 46 lists the Storage controllers with their configuration.
you may select one of them.

Also, you select 12G SAS drives from the list mentioned on page 32-38.
The server driveback plane is designed to work on 6G as well as 12G Speeds.

Hi,

As I understood correctly the DL380p gen8 can operate with 12G controllers and drives.

However, in the QuickSpecs for P430 (698529-B21) and P830 (698533-B21) controllers the 12G performance is mentioned only for DL580 Gen8.

So my question is: Will I achieve 12G speed in DL380p gen8 with P430 or P830 and 12G SAS drives or will it be cut to 6G?
