Proliant DL385 G5P Server hangs prior to boot
Latest PSP's (8.6)
Latest Firmware (8.3)
Server 2003 Standard 64Bit With service packs
Applied.
Server restarts and boots to a blank Gray / Black Screen.
When manually restarted, HP White Splash screen appears for approx 1.5 Mins prior to continuing with boot. Note: White Splash screen is always slow in running.
Any suggestions Please..

Re: Proliant DL385 G5P Server hangs prior to boot
Are you still having the same problem? We have serveral g5 or g5p servers that do the same thing. All firmware, drivers, agents are up to date. Hang condition is sporadic. Last Windows System event log message states event log shutting down - then nothing after that.

Re: Proliant DL385 G5P Server hangs prior to boot
1. Reboot the server and press F9 to enter RBSU.
2. Select "Power Management Options."
3. Select "Advanced Power Management Options."
4. Select "Minimum Processor Idle Power State."
5. Select "C1E" or "No C-States."
also go run box msconfig, advanced start options boot.ini. restart in sfe mode what happens now..
