Proliant DL580 Using ASR-2
A DL580 using ASR-2(Automatic Server Recovery) is from time to time doing a warm reboot. Now the IML viewer says "ASR Detected By System ROM" Error Type "Critical". and Windows 2000 or 2003's Event viewer Just says unexpected shutdown has occurred. Now, my question is, is this a software problem? or a hardware problem? or is it a software problem caused by a piece of hardware? or viceversa. Oh! by the way, in case you are thinking about a external device that is connected to this server, the only thing connected to this server is: Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard & network cable.

Re: Proliant DL580 Using ASR-2
HI,
Disable ASR in F10
or
1) Reboot server and select F9 (or F10) to enter RBSU
2) From the main RBSU menu select "Automatic Server Recovery"
3) Select "ASR Timeout"
4) Select number of minutes desired for the timeout value.
Regards,
Prashant S.
