proliant g6 driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0
Had a problem where user wasn't able to access their data but server was still up and running. Event viewer for server 2008 showed event id 11 "driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0"
restarted the server and the drive in bay 5 had been disablled, reenabled this and booted server. everything seems to have come up fine, no data missing and back to normal functionality.
this is the 2nd time in last 3-4 months that this has happened. firmware update was done inside last 12 months, this is my next port of call once school term finished in a weeks time.
attached is report from HP array diagnostics utility, can anyone pinpoint what might be causing this issue?
drive 5 shows Last Failure Reason Hot Removed (0x14)
