ProLiant G7 DL380 Bios password reset

Hi all,

 

basically I have a Proliant DL380 G7 server and it was setup with a password for the BIOS. The password is unknown so we can't configure the BIOS. Is it possible to reset the BIOS password without reseting all the BIOS configuration?

 

If yes is there any kind guru to explain how can I do this? :)

hi

 

on the systemboard you fill find the system maintenance switch.

 

it is also documented on the label on the inner side of the server cover.

 

coldboot your server with the clear password switch set S5 to position ON.

 

reset the dip switch (position S5)

 

do another cold boot.
