Re: Proliant ML 110 G6 will not boot off HP Smart Array P212
You can use the online component for linux
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=pl&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=3885791&prodNameId=3890396&swEnvOID=4049&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-0a3ad21cebc4426ba025b49ce1
or use the Smart Update Firmware DVD (offline tool)
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=pl&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3984625&prodNameId=3984626&swEnvOID=4049&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-98ce7a50a19a4d4994aaad8d0e
Are your SATA disks HP branded? Which model and which firmware?

Re: Proliant ML 110 G6 will not boot off HP Smart Array P212
The data comunication is not via I/O bus on the system board.
Need to get the cable kit and install it on the server:
Description: SAS HDD cable
Description: SAS LED cable

Re: Proliant ML 110 G6 will not boot off HP Smart Array P212
If the firmware is 2.74 or below you will have this issue.
