Proliant ML 350 Hard Drive
The Hard Drive on my server is only 6 GB and I need to add an additional. What parameters should I use and do I have to use only Compaq drives?

Re: Proliant ML 350 Hard Drive
Hi Kevin;
I'm presuming you have an ML350 G1 with non-hot plug hard drive support.
If that's the case, any drive with a 68 pin scsi connector will work attached to the controller. You'll have to jumper the drive to a different scsi ID from the existing one.
Only a Compaq drive will be covered on the server's warranty.
Hope that helps,
Janine

Re: Proliant ML 350 Hard Drive
Compaq HDD have modified firmware. This is main reason to use Compaq HDD. Otherwise SmartArray/SCSI controllers and HDD compatibility problems very probable.
