Proliant ML150 G6 Bios Update
Hi there, I recently purchased a ML 150 G6 server second hand, and I want to use it as a media server.
I am trying to put TrueNAS SCALE on it but i am having no success what so ever. All I can determine is that the BIOS is way out of date. I know there is a newer version of the already outdated 2011 version, a (b) version, and I would like to downloaded it. BUT i don't have any financial contracts or warranties with HPE at all.
Can anyone give me a ball park idea of how much HPE will want to fleece me of in USD, just so I can download the new BIOS?? No wonder the HP share value is bad, when they treat people like this.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Proliant ML150 G6 Bios Update
Dear Sir,
HPE's only solution is to subscribe to a years warranty service at what ever extraordinary cost that will be.
I would be very happy to buy the BIOS at a price, but unfortunately HPE don't even do that. IT is Warranty purchase or NOTHING. A very equitable situation for a product that is over 10 years old and bearly used by the business community anywhere, and I am a sole user at home in Australia just wanting to make a media server from it.

I think you can try checking with HPE's pre-sales team. They should be able to provide details. Try this link that i found:
