I realy very need a sound card in my Proliant ML310! But the server has only 3.3V PCI slots! Is it NOT possible to solve this problem?

Hello Gall,
As long as you can get a sound card which will work in 3.3V slot then there should be no problems. There is also another solution for you which is why not buy EXTIGY by Creative Labs. That has a USB connector and same is your server. That should definitely take care of your sound issue since that is an external sound card box. Here is the link for you in case you want more details on it.

Dear Sunil Jerath!
Thank You for your quick answer!
But EXTIGY by Creative Labs is expensive for me.
Can You name some sound cards that works on 3.3V PCI slots?
I already found Diamond Monster Sound MX300, based on Aureal Vortex AU8830 chip, and read in specification, what this card may work on 3.3V and 5V (and have both keys on PCI plug), but after install MX300 in ML310 - server don't turn on.

Did you ever figure out why the ML310 doesn't boot when the MX300 PCI card is inserted? I am having the exact same problem. I was looking around the web, and it seems that the MX300 does, in fact, use a 3.3v architecture.

Any other ideas of what this could possibly be?
