Proliant ML310 G5 Disk not found Windows 2008 x64
Hi you all,
Hope you can help me. We have a ML310G5 Server working perfect with Windows 2003 x32. Now we need to migrate to Windows 2008. We will do a clean install, so we boot from the Windows CD. No matter which driver I install to recognize the Hard Disk, no succes. We tried something like 30 different drivers, both HP and others, no luck. Any idea what I can do? Thanks

Re: Proliant ML310 G5 Disk not found Windows 2008 x64
hi Roy,
Are you using the SC40Ge controller in this server? If so, you can try the Windows 2008 32-bit driver here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=3716250&prodNameId=3716251&swEnvOID=4022&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-c685760112bb47ad8f66593987
Also there is a note in the quickspecs that might apply:
"When using the SC40Ge with SATA Hard Drives, 1.5G SATA Hard Drives are required."
good luck, if you appreciate the answers we appreciate the points!

Use the smart start CD, the drivers are included with it...
