Proliant ML350 G5 Server 2003 losing network connectivity
Hi, One of my customers new ML350 G5 with windows 2003 loses network connectivity several times a day. Motherboard is replaced, Windows is reinstalled, still same problem. Reboot helps. The server is used as a terminal server. The server is now at my office and I have tested remotedesktop a few times with no problem but when I opened HP management Homepage I lost connection again. Could it be some HP agent/software causing the problem?

I don't a HP agent can cause that issue
anyway if you are sure that when yu open the System Management homepage the connectivity is lost go to Control Panel -> HP insight Management agents and stop the NIC information agent or any other agent
also what about NIC drivers? what about firmware for NICs?

Re: Proliant ML350 G5 Server 2003 losing network connectivity
Hi
I dont really thing the HP Management Homepage had anything to do with it, it just happend to be thing I did at the moment.
When the server loses network, it still has a connection to the switch, but I cannot ping the server or ping from the server. But I can ping servers own IP at the server. Strange.
Firmware 2.1.31.B
PSP 8.15
installed a newer network driver today 4.6.17.0.C
I├В┬┤ll keep testing during the day
