ProLiant ML350p Gen8: added PCIe card, fans running at 27% on that CPU side now
I just added a PCIe to NVMe adapater card into the first PCIe x16 slot. Everything is working great except now the fans on that CPU side run at a minimum of 27% instead of 6%. Is there a BIOS setting to fix this, or way to adjust the fans on the side of the CPU that has the new PCIe card? This seems ridiculous.

You can check the workload profile on the system and change that.
Furthermore, you might want to update the BIOS firmware (If outdated)

Re: ProLiant ML350p Gen8: added PCIe card, fans running at 27% on that CPU side now
BIOS is up to date. I believe because the PCIe to NVMe card I am using is not officially supported HP that is causing that side of the fans (cpu0) to run at 27% instead of the other side (cpu1) which run at normal speeds of 6%. Honestly, this is a total silly implentation. I should be able to run 3rd party PCIe cards, and have a way to override the fan minimum speeds. Any work arounds?
