Proliant Server Configuration collector tool
We have a new client who wants to put thier windows and linux proliant servers under maintenance contract. We are new to the client's environment and we want a comprehensive configuration (part numbers, descriptions, quantities, software installed etc) of every server.
Is there a tool that can be used to collect this info for us, with minimum inpact on the current setup? More like CFG2HTML tool for Unix based servers.I am from a Unix based background and just venturing into Intel environement.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Proliant Server Configuration collector tool
Hi,
use HPSreports to collect info from windows and cfg2html to collect config data from Linux systems :
ftp://iss:tools@hprc.external.hp.com
Here you can find microsoft application specific support tools if needed :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cebf3c7c-7ca5-408f-88b7-f9c79b7306c0&displaylang=en
If you want scripted collection from all server at once , maybe a WMI scripting will be ok, but it will be harder then separately collecting reports...
