PROLIANT SERVER
Hello All,
I have a question that comes from the past and i woulk like to asnwer it.
All servers at startup has a loud noise, perhaps comes from the fans (or from the psu?) and then the noise is reduced.
What is that noise and what operation is performed at this point of time?
Thank you
P.S. This thread has been moved from Servers>General to ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL). -HP Forum Moderator

Re: PROLIANT SERVER
Hi,
The fans spin at high speed when you switch ON the server, its because the fans are checked for their functionality.
If any fans does not spin or is slow then its reported at POST.
