PSP 8.50 Linux HPSUM Question

I am attempting to install PSP 8.50 using HPSUM with -inputfile. Installation is on BL460c G1. Redhat 5.4 has been installed (64 bit) via RDP. The beginning of the inputfile is :

# Modified for HPSUM (PSP 8.50 and above)
SILENT=YES
#DRYRUN=YES
FORCESOFTWARE=YES
COMPONENTSLIST=cpq_cciss-3.6.24-4.rhel5.x86_64.rpm,hp-OpenIPMI-8.5.0-1.rhel5.x86_64.rpm,hp-ilo-8.5.0-1.rhel5.x86_64.rpm,hp-health-8.5.0.23-23.rhel5.x86_64.rpm,hp-snmp-agents-8.5.0.17-19.rhel5.x86_64.rpm,hpmouse-1.2.0-96.noarch.rpm,hpsmh-6.1.0-103.x86_64.rpm,hp-smh-templates-8.5.0.13-15.noarch.rpm,cpqacuxe-8.50-5.0.noarch.rpm,hpacucli-8.50-6.0.noarch.rpm,hpdiags-8.5.0-11.linux.x86_64.rpm,hponcfg-3.1.0-0.noarch.rpm

The result of running hpsum is:
"hpsum: cannot connect to X server"

But at this stage X is not running and using SILENT=YES should not cause it to access the GUI.

So what parameter to hpsum am I missing

Re: PSP 8.50 Linux HPSUM Question

I was struggling with this issue as well. Try adding the command line parameter "-nui".

e.g.

/hpsum -nui -inputfile

I didn't find this parameter in any of the 8.50 documentation. I only came across this solution by trying parameters I used previously with PSP 8.31.
