Qlogic 2562 on DL380 G5

Hi all,

i installed a QLogic 2562 on DL380 G5 server and when the server start, it stops after recognized hba. Googleing i found this url http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02700051 and upgraded firmware to version P56 05/02/2011 but without success.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

There are two products available with similar description.  One for Integrity and other for ProLiant.

Do check the part number off the card to verify the compatibility.

What is the difference?

AH401A for Integrity Servers.

AJ764A for ProLiant Servers.

Hi,
i have a Qlogic based hba, part number is PX2810403. Should be this one "HP StorageWorks 82Q PCI-e FC HBA Dual Port AJ764A" but i don't see it anywhere on hba...(pls check attachment)

On same customer, I have another DL380 G5 server with same hba and older system bios (P56 09/29/2009) and it works perfectly with my storage.

Hi,

The card in pic is PX2810403-82.

And according to few searches, this card is for DELL:

Dell RW9KF 2-Port 8Gb-to-PCIe Fibre Channel Adapter QLE2562

Manufacturer: QLogic
QLogic Model: QLE2562L-DEL
QLogic P/N: PX2810403-82 B
Dell P/N: RW9KF

I am not really sure if card this is compatible with HP and why the same hba and older system bios works.

I changed HBA fo dell with AJ764A and get always same error. server stops boot when hba recognized.
