Qlogic 4010C on DL380G4

Dear All

Have any use Qlogic 4010C on DL380G4 ?
I can do iSCSI Booting on DL380G3 but can't
do on DL380G4, it looks like BIOS support issue.
And how can I look it as a boot controller in BIOS configuration ?

A couple of questions...

1. What storage are you trying to connect to?

2. What OS are you using?

3. Have you checked the BIOS settings between the G3 and G4 to see if they are the same?

You might also check that you have the latest Qlogic BIOS update, and have it set properly.

Dear Sir

I have update the last Qlogic BIOS.

I use QLA4010 connect to FalconStor iSCSI Storage Server, and booting normally in DL360G3ã DL360G4 and DL380G3.

BIOS different in DL380G4 is having a new Boot item : Drive Key (C:)

Because HP DL BIOS doesn't understand QLA4010, so I can't change controller order. But it'll take the first boot order when I enable booting in QLA4010 BIOS.

Plug into the same QLA4010 HBA card and have the same setting, event I disable on board 6i array controller, system never boot using QLA4010 in DL380G4.

Hi,

had the same error trying to boot with G4 Model and QLA 4010C.

found out that there is a special bios version to fix this issue.

SP30189, bios has date from 04/18/2005,
not availabe in the internet.

funny thing is i got it from Storage vendor,
not from HP support.
