Question about add memory on DL380G4
My Operating System is Redhat ES3 Update4.
Server model= DL380G4
I want to replace all memory from 1GB to 2GB for each DIMM. Is it neccessary to upgrade huge-mem kernel.
Note: As I understand, hugmem kernel need upgrade when upgrade more memory 16 GB. Do I understand right? If it's right, this may be mot neccessary to upgrade hugemem. That's right?
Please help to confirm and suggest any useful recommend.

Re: Question about add memory on DL380G4
we have 2GB sticks in most of our DL380 and i never heard of anyone updating huge-mem ? Why dont you just try it ? whats the worst that can happen? it either will or wont work if it doesnt revert to the old setup and change the "huge-mem" :D

How many 1GB DIMMS do you have?
