Hey forum users!
Have a small question regarding the triple memory banks on, in this case, an ML350 G6.
I faintly remember that its advisable to keep size and speed of memory the same in all memory banks in order to maximize performance.
The server was shipped with 3 2gb.
Thats 2GB in each memory channel.
Now I would need atleast 8gb in this server, would it degrade the performance if I would put in another 2gb stick in one of the channels?
Ex. ch1=4gb, ch2=2gb, ch3=2gb.
Or would it be best to buy enough to even out the channels.
Thanks!
