"Physical drive removed" message in event viewer. Reported by CPQCISSE

We've got a DL580 with a 5300 controller attached to two external storage arrays.

We've started getting the following error in the event viewer:

"Physical drive removed. SCSI Port 1. ID 15 of array controller in slot 2".

These messages arrive periodically, and several at a time (same time stamp). Each message will vary the ID number and/or slot number. The event id is 24580 and is flagged as informational.

Any idea for the source of this? The server (running Win2k server sp2) appears to be functioning normally and from all outward appearances so do the storage arrays.
