Raid 1 & Raid 5
Hi,
I have to setup a hp dl380 for a customer. He wants the Operating System on two mirrored drives and the data on three drives with raid 5. Is this possible with the onboard p410i controller or will I need to install a second p410i controller to look after the raid 5 drives.
Thanks in advance
Bernard

Re: Raid 1 & Raid 5
Yes, it's possible. Use the Option ROM Configuration for Arrays by pressing [F8] or the Array Configuration Utility available from the SmartStart CD.

Re: Raid 1 & Raid 5
I would get an extra disk and put all disks into a raid 10. This will perform much better especially when you don't have the BBWC add-on module. Come to think about it, it might not be even possible to do raid 5 without a BBWC module. Anyway, just my 2cent.
