RAID 1 lost in ESXi 6.5
I have a server HPE ProLiant ML10 Gen9.
By BIOS build a RAID 1 with 2 hd.
I then one volume.
When I install ESXi 6.5 setup sees 2 separate disks.
Is there any way to show him a single volume on which to install ESXi?
I downloaded the ISO file from:
https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/details?downloadGroup=OEM-ESXI65-HPE&productId=614

Re: RAID 1 lost in ESXi 6.5
Hi,
I see you are trying to install ESXi 6.5 on HPE Proliant ML10 Gen9 system and this is not a supported and certified server for ESXi environment please check the HPE Servers Support & OS Certification Matrices URL: https://techlibrary.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/vmware.aspx#ml
Secondly the Intel RAID controller on ML10 Gen9 server is not supported by VMware check the support article url: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/52047
Hence, you need to configure the storage controller in AHCI mode and install ESXi, though ESXi might get installed and work but in case of any issues on the system with ESXi its not supported configuration.
