RAID 1 on DL360 G4 - how to enable?

Hi,

Im under the impression the DL360 does RAID 1 SATA out of the box. I cant for the life of me see where or how to set this up. Can anyone shed some light on the subject please?

Hi. When you boot up the server, look at all of the messages. There should be one that says something like "HP raid press F8 to configure". It is a prompt at boot up right after the post.

RAID Support: RAID 5 (Distributed Data Guarding) RAID 1+0 (Striping and Mirroring) RAID 1 (Mirroring) RAID 0 (Stripping) So RAID option is enabled by default. and use the Array Configuration Utility to manage disks. You can configure the RAID with that tool. If you wish to use ORCA, you'll must to press F8 during the boot sequence when it was required to enter in the menu of the Smart Array 6i controller

I understand this is an old post, however I am having difficulty accessing the Raid configuration menu? 

When the RAID controller initializes it does not give me the option to press F8.. 

I have looked and searched all over the system setup menu's and I cannot see any option to enable ORCA.

I have recently upgraded the systems bios to P51  (2007.07.19 (A)
24 Jan 2008) I do  understand that I can create a raid using the smart start CD but would prefer to use the F8 option when the system loads. 

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
