Bonjour,

raid 1
Hello,
I have two hot plug hard drives in raid 1 (slot 0 and 1)....the first one is defective (orange light) and I have to replace it:
-should the second drive be put on slot 0 and the new one on slot 1 (system stopped, of course) before turning it on?
-should I just put the new one in slot 0, hot (system running)?
thank you for your answer

SolutionHello,
Before performing any activity, please backup data. First replace the defective drive and allow the RAID array to rebuild. As the drives are hot plug, they may be replaced while they are functioning.

Re: raid 1
You don't tell us about your server and drive model.
Be sure, that the Orange Light is not the "Do not Remove" LED.
