Good morning,
My question is the following one:
equipment and storage:
- hpe proliant dl380 gen10 plus with MR416i-a gen10+ raid controller.
- 2 internal disks: 486Gb SATA SSD not in raid (sda, sdb: boot/OS on sda with 4 partitions; sdb empty)
- 6 external disks on RAID5 (HW)
problem/question:
- the person that installed the OS did not create any RAID with internal disks and we would like to have a RAID-1 (Hardware) with the 2 internal disks:
- Is it possible to create a RAID.-1 HW without removing the data/installation already done (/dev/sda)?:
* by BIOS it seems not possible.
* by HPE MR Storage Administrator tool?, a JBOD to Unconfigured Good conversion is required and therefore data would be lost. ?
Many thanks in advance,
Carlos.

Re: RAID1 BY HW AFTER INSTALLING RHEL OPERATING SYSTEM IN A PRO. DL380 G10+ WITH MR416I-A
Just backup all files to some safe place and rebuild your server as you like. Then restore copied files and enjoy.
There is not any other option.
Best,
