RAM error
Google Translated
I recently got an HP Proliant dl120 G6 server. In the non-hotplug version. After a week of operation and configuration, the RAM with 2GB was simply not enough for me. (Samsung 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600E-09-10-E1)
Now I've got some new ram bars. Exactly 16 GB (4x4GB). (4GB 2Rx4 PC3-10600R-9-10-E1.1333 ECC) x2 from the manufacturer Nanya and (4GB 2Rx4 PC3-10600R-9-11-J0) x2.
Now I have the problem that the ram is not recognized or the server does not boot (black picture). However, I also got some 2GB bars from the seller. (Nanya 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600R-9-10-B0.1333 ECC) x2 and (Kingston KTH-PL313 / 2G).
These run as 6GB combi super, but are significantly too little memory. In addition to the 3 ram bars, I then tried to install the (Samsung 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600E-09-10-E1), unfortunately I then belittle the rather annoying ram beep.
How can I now min. Use 12GB or 16GB in my server without errors?
Can it be that if I only use 4 ram banks, I need udimms and no rdimms?
MfG

Re: RAM error
Same problem, unfortunately still there. The ram is also not recognized in the ILO 100 interface. But if I only use the 2GB module, everything works.
