RDP Session Logs Out Automatically Issue

I have an issue with a remote desktop session that keeps logging out automatically.  I have disabled the CEIP on the server.  I use RDP to log into the server and every couple of days I find that all programs were terminated and the session has logged out.  I always just disconnect from the RDP session by clicking on the X and the pop up window appears stating that I am disconnecting and all programs and services will continue to run.  

What could be causing my RDP session to log out automatically?

Have you considered running your applications as services?
