Recommended Room Temp
I need to know the recommended room temperature for approximately 4 regular (non-server) workstations, 1 Compaq 3000, 1 Compaq 5500, 3 storage units, and a UPS unit. I know what the systems can handle individually, but what is recommended?
Is 70 degrees too hot? Someone wants to share the space and has requested a "tolerable" temperature, but I want to feel good about it before saying OK.
Thanks!

Re: Recommended Room Temp
If you check the manuals they give a range, however I set mine to 68 degrees and 50% humidity.
As a general rule, the colder the better. Remember even though the room may be cold, inside the cabinet may be quite warm. Many professional computer rooms have a raised floor and have cutouts for each cabinet. When the cabinet sits over the cutout cold air straight from the airconditioner blows from underneath the floor right up into the cabinet thus giving each cabinet the maximum amount of cooling.
