Reformat OS
Hi, I would like to know if there's a drive utility or some sort of guidelines from Compaq that I can use to reformat my drives. My objectives are to reformat the drives on my server (partitions C, E and F) and do a clean install of Win2000 server. I would also like to ensure that my primary domain controller will be able to recognize this upgraded BPC after the clean install. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Re: Reformat OS
HI, There is the erase utility which is the utility that Compaq uses to format the drive and that wipe out all data and configuration as well off these drive. This utility is use when setting up a server and when you what to reconfigure from ground 0. You will have to go through the SCU and ACU, which can be done through the smartstart cd. Hope this will help.

Re: Reformat OS
Thanks so much for the information. After all the configurations have been wiped out, will my server still be able to boot from CD-ROM? I need to install Win2000 after the formatting. Also, I need the NIC to be active for the server to be set up as a backup domain controller. Thanks again.
