Remote Insight Mouse not working

I have an ML350G2 that has a Riloe II board in it and all of a sudden the mouse cable is reported (by HPSIM) as Disconnected.
I physically checked the connection and it is fine. I updated the driver and firmware for the board and still the mouse is not responding. Any ideas?

What happened if you Clear NVRAM from BIOS, Reseat defaults in F8 and boot to Smart Start CD, would mouse work than ?

No can do on this server. It's a 24/7 kind of server. Downtime is frowned upon. Happily we will be replacing them very soon so maybe I can bypass the card and get the vendor connected via remote desktop.
