Replacing a predictive failure Hdd

I need to change a hdd that is showing as predictive failure. My Client insists that the same be done online. Is their any documnetation that suggest it should not be done online.

You didn't tell us details about where the disk is (server, array etc.) what OS is running and so on - no details ever.

The best answer at this moment is simply: Maybe.

Its a DL 380 and its a mirror with one spare drive as well. OS: Windows NT.

Yes the drive is hot swap. The same change was completed on line, without any issue, but would like to know if there is any documentation advising against doing the same on line, specially when it is in predictive failure mode.

In this document you will see that is says that you can change the Hard Drive online if a Predictive Failure Condition is in the Drive:
