Replacing an HPE SmartArray by an HPE MegaRAID Controller

Dear Community

My very first post here.

I need some help to confirm something that's bugging me!

I have a server with 2 x HPE Smart Array configured as below:

  • HPE SmartArray E208i-p mapped to 2 x 480GB HDD - RAID 1
  • HPE SmartArray E408i-a mapped to 8 x 1.92TB SSD - RAID 6

My query: Can I replace both cards with 1 x HPE MegaRAID MR416 (16Channels) without losing any data and preserving the respective Arrays.

Any way to import the arrays?

Many thanks to anyone that can help

Hi Nitin and Welcome.

These controllers come from different manufacturers. So unfortunately I see no way.
