replcaing motherboard and keep array in place
I've been asked to replace the motherboard in one of our servers. The controller currently installed in the server is a Smart Array E200 configured for RAID 5. The array should not need any special configuration on the new motherboard should it? As for as I can forsee I just need to install it and set it as the boot device. Am I wrong?

Re: replcaing motherboard and keep array in place
The RAID configuration information for the array is stored on each disk. You will not loose the array information changing out a defective system board
