RH 9 on ML 370 G3

Do someone tried to install RH 9 on a ProLiant ML 370 G3 server?? My problem is that HP does not support this version of the sistem (only support RH 8 and RH Enterprise) and if don't install the support pack the fans always works full RPM, i tried to istall manually hpasm but don't work, anybody has tried to modify the installation script? Is possible use the software on RH 9 and how??
