RIB CARD
I have an ML370 with a RIB card installed (Riloe 1)- built server with Win2K video connected to card for remote access - display settings stuck on 16 color 640x480 cannot change it which affects remote console res. I know it is a display driver issue as I take RIB out and all ok. I have installed the RIB board driver for Win2k infact all the necessary support packs for this system. I have the ATI driver installed. Connect to RIB and get exclamation mark in device manager. Click on display properties adapter tab shows standard VGA but no change option - firmware of RIB is 2.21 so could do with upgrading this although I could only find v 2.52 - any ideas. regards

Re: RIB CARD
Stuart:
Actually, 2.53 is available now. And yes... way back in 2.30 the fix for detecting the Rage II driver was fixed.
Here is the 128bit version of the bios:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20439.html
Here is the 40bit version of the bios:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20438.html
Let me know if this does not help? -john

Re: RIB CARD
Thanks John - interestingly I downloaded 2.53 to upgrade the f/w - boot off disk 1 then insert disk 2 to upgrade firmware - select Remote Insight Board for upgrading but then I get a message that basically says something like the ROM update utility does not or can not upgrade - I am not at work at the minute so I will try it again on Monday and let you know - thanks again.
