Same Problem
Hi
I have the same problem, one minute my Server is working fine and then the next it restarts.
I then try to restart it put nothing happens, i.e. just a black screen. I have done what you suggested, removed everything and tried to start up bare bones but nothing, you said this would indicate a Processor problem or System board.
Before I thought, for the scrap heap, I removed everything from the main board, 2 processors and ram and reseated them, turned on the Proliant, and unbeknown it booted.
My question --- what is causing this to happen as I guess it will do it again, could it be
Power
Ram
1 of the processors
Drive Array (431)
Thanks in advance
