SAS 2.5 to SATA

I need to know if the HP part number 654540-001can be used in a proliant ml310egen8v2 server already configured with sata non-hot plug HDD. I want to adapt the part number 654540-001 to a SAS HDD 146GB 10K. Hp model : DG146BB976. Hp P/N : 430165-003. Firmware : HPDC. Part number: 9F6066-035. Can It be functionable ?.

Hi,

This part is used in HP Desktop systems and not in servers according to PartSurfer.

Spart Part number for DG146BB976 is 418399-001 and its compatible with G6 and G7 servers but not in Gen8.

Gen8 uses SmartDrive technology.

HP ProLiant ML310e Generation 8 (Gen8) v2 QuickSpecs.

According to compatibility, I would say it will not work.
