SATA Raid Embedded Controller and Windows 2008 x32

Hello to everyone.

I have a Proliant DL320 G3 with SATA Raid Embedded Controller.
The Windows 2008 x32 Setup doesn't know this hardware.
I try with Windows 2003 x32 driver (from HP website) without success.
Is there a particular driver or tip, or this hardware is not compatible with Win2008 x32?

there is in RBSU (BIOS) an option called
Virtual Install Disk

RBSU (F9 POST)-> under Advance options -> Virtual Install Disk

The virtual install disk is a holding place within the system ROM that contains embedded boot drivers (such as SCSI or RAID controller drivers) that may be necessary to complete the operating system installation. Typically, boot drivers that are placed in the virtual install disk are either not included as part
of the operating system media or are updated for new controllers. Supported operating systems automatically find these drivers, eliminating the need for user intervention. To further optimize the system, HP recommends updating these boot drivers to the latest version after the OS install.

so if you enable that feature server will provide driver for your W2008

just try to have the latest System ROM for your server

I'm just curious, did this do the job?

I don't think it will work, because the ROM holds drivers for server supported OSs only.
The DL320 G3 don't support windows 2008, so I think the ROM will not hold the drivers for 2008, but not sure :)

Pac yes I've been curious about feature too and I was trying to look for that feature in 100-Series G5 server because according with advisory G5 100 Series has that feature... but I don't see it

test in Dl160 G5 and dl185 G5 no option at all

should I assume that the feature is available in G5 100-Series or I'm assuming this. I mean someone else can read this and check with if according with that advisory 100-Series G5 should have that

in HP website says current version is
1.4.17010.0
25 Jan 2008

but you click in that link and go to revision history you will a more recent version which is 1.4.17015.0
