SBS 2011 and HP Servers

Hi,

Ive just bought a Proliant DL165 G7 and a retail copy of SBS 2011 64 bit. However the smart start CD doesnt give me the option to install this OS, spoke to HP support about a month ago and they said this server woudlnt support the OS yet, anyone know if this is still the case or anyway around the problem ? Considering the OS has been out since Feb seems pretty poor from HP really.

Hi.. Now I find HP site updated and says below said OS supported (doesnot speak abt 64/32 bit)

 

Operating System: Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard and Essentials

 

But no smartStart CD/Easy Setup CD available. So you can try the 2008 R2 version of storage driver and do the manual install.

 

 This is just a try :)

Though I work for HP, I do not represent HP here :)
