SCSI AHA-2944UW cards

I have a Proliant 3000 with the latest ROM paq installed. I have installed 4 adaptec AHA-2944UW cards. No matter what slots I put any of the cards into under any order the boot screen will only show the first two being initialized. All 4 cards are seen in the servers boot up (F10) option and all 4 cards can see each other under the SCSI select properties and windows 2000 server can see them all. Any ideas what I can look into? Thanks

Re: SCSI AHA-2944UW cards

Joe,
are these cards all work under OS?
Card initialization at bootup is done by server's bios calling card's integrated firmware, and maybe:
a) you have firmware address allocation conflict;
b) there's not enough memory to fit all firmwares for 4 cards and run them.
If these cards are really working under OS then I would not worry about initial server's bios initialization

Re: SCSI AHA-2944UW cards

There are no conflicts reported by W2KS or by CIM. The SCSI cards are currently in slot 5,6,7,8. Slot 4 is the network card and slot 4 has the array controller. Slot's 1 and 2 are empty.
