I don't see the SmartArray 3200 Controller on the QuickSpecs controller list. Can I use it in the Proliant 800 PII (6/400) server? Also, I see that it's an Ultra2 SCSI controller. Does this mean I need to get Ultra 2 SCSI hard drives?

You can use a number of controllers in this server, I only mentioned the 3200 series because they are readily available and inexpensive.

You could install a SmartArray 4200 or 5300 series controller in the ProLiant 800 PII system.

No you would not have to purchase Ultra2 drives, these drives are backwards compatable.
